What you should know about me:

I enjoy serving as D&M’s managing principal for our RTP office. Having worked in in-house roles previously, I enjoy serving clients with a business-focused mindset and practical experience. My practice includes preparation and prosecution of patent applications focusing on software-related inventions. In addition, I regularly perform infringement and validity studies of issued patents.

  • Enjoys mountain biking, tennis and golf, and one of his most memorable moments was golfing with his father at 16 and hitting a hole in one
  • Spent a decade developing computer software prior to becoming a patent attorney

Eric’s Experience

Eric assists global brands with practical, cost-effective, and business-minded solutions. His IP insights are based on objective data and years of experience gained by working with patent examiners on a daily basis and from his in-house roles, including leading the IP Mergers and Acquisitions group and the IP Defense group responsible for handling all allegations of infringement at an international telecommunications equipment manufacturer.

Eric’s practice primarily serves the software, electrical and mechanical arts, including experience in operating systems, virtualization technologies, cloud computing technologies, telecommunications, wireless networks, semiconductors, optics, 5G, automotive, digital security, and control systems.
