What you should know about me:
I began my career as a test and validation systems engineer, working for a decade in the aerospace and automotive industries. Today, I use my engineering and legal experience when advising clients on a variety of technologies, including electromechanical and mechanical arts, and computer-implemented methods. My goal is to help clients understand the various avenues available to them to build and protect their IP portfolio within their schedule, scope, and cost targets.
- Mild-mannered fighter for clients’ IP — and in the ring, as a boxer
- Intimately experienced, for better or worse, with 14 C.F.R. 33.76
- Among few remaining members of the Manual Gearbox Preservation Society
Yusuf advises clients, large and small, with their U.S. and international IP matters. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications in the electromechanical and mechanical arts and computer-implemented methods. Specifically, Yusuf frequently works with clients specializing in telecommunications systems and equipment, consumer products, power generation and control systems, and aerospace and defense systems.
In addition, Yusuf advises clients regarding their trademark matters, renders patent-related opinions, and often reviews terms of service and non-disclosure agreements.
Yusuf’s experience extends from large, multinational corporations to small businesses and individuals. This broad exposure allowed Yusuf to develop an appreciation for each client’s unique challenges and opportunities. He considers it a pleasure to be able to use all of his legal and technical experience to benefit clients.
