Summer Law Clerks Build Bikes for Greenville DSS

[Greenville, SC; May 20, 2024]

Dority welcomes a cohort of 16 talented law students from universities across the nation to join our firm. As part of our commitment to fostering community engagement and providing hands-on experiences, we organized a charitable bike build for our summer class to participate in.

During this activity, our law clerks had the opportunity to build bicycles that would be donated to the South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS). The DSS is a vital agency that provides protective services for children and vulnerable adults, along with adoption and foster care services.

The students heard from the County Director who gave insight into the various programs at DSS, including the Family Preservation division. The Director emphasized that donations fostering positive family interactions, such as bicycles, significantly support the efforts of the Family Preservation division.

We are proud to partner with the DSS on this initiative and others, as we are committed to making a positive impact in our community.
