Jason Jennings and Thomas Huycke Elected Principals

Dority & Manning is proud to announce the election of Jason Jennings
and Thomas Huycke as Principals of the firm. Both Jason and Tommy have been practicing intellectual property law since 2009.

Tommy focuses his practice on the management of global intellectual property portfolios, and has extensive experience in prosecuting U.S. and international patent and trademark applications and preparing patent related opinions of counsel, including validity, infringement, and right to practice opinions. Tommy also assists clients in a variety of other intellectual property related matters, including due diligence investigations and the drafting of collaboration agreements, confidentiality agreements, license agreements, terms of use agreements, and other agreements involving intellectual property issues. Tommy has a technical background in mechanical engineering, and has experience in a wide range of technologies in the electromechanical and mechanical arts, including fiber optic products and equipment, power generation and control systems, structural and building systems, pultrusion machinery, packaging and industrial machinery, automotive components, and agricultural machinery. Tommy graduated from Clemson University with a degree in mechanical engineering and received his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law.

Jason has extensive experience in prosecuting domestic and international patent and trademark applications. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications across a vast array of technology areas, including window coverings, agricultural vehicles and equipment, power generation systems and related control systems, aeromechanical systems, mechanical and electrical control systems, automotive components, medical devices, software, data management, and networking. Jason also assists clients with complex transactions involving intellectual property issues, including the preparation and negotiation of license agreements, collaboration agreements, software development agreements, intellectual property transfer agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Additionally, Jason has significant experience in preparing opinions of counsel related to patent matters, including opinions related to infringement, validity, and right to practice. Jason graduated from Clemson University with a degree in mechanical engineering and received his J.D. from Campbell Law School.
