Sarah’s Experience

Sarah has over 25 years of experience navigating the intersection of law, technology, and high-stakes business negotiations. With a technical background in electrical engineering, she provides a seasoned perspective on aligning legal strategy with overarching business goals. She has managed global teams and acted as a lead negotiator in licensing and technology agreements totaling more than $3 billion.

Sarah’s technical knowledge spans a wide range of sophisticated technologies, including 5G cellular and Wi-Fi networks, drones, cloud-based systems, audio/video codecs, and battery technologies. She has particular depth in standards-essential patents (SEPs) across the entire IP lifecycle, from patent prosecution and technology transfers to global joint ventures and the IP aspects of M&A.

Prior to her current role, Sarah served as both outside and in-house counsel for international law firms and global technology companies. This dual perspective enables her to understand the internal engineering development process as clearly as the legal hurdles of patent litigation and prosecution. By bridging these two worlds, she provides the practical, “real-world” insight necessary to protect and leverage the assets of global technology leaders.
