Rita joined Dority & Manning in 2019, after beginning a career in intellectual property law in 1989.
She has worked with technologies such as pharmaceutical, medical equipment, chemical and mechanical art areas including diagnostic imaging agents, branded and generic pharmaceuticals, intraocular lens implants, biocompatible polymers, environmental control systems, power generation systems and aviation.
Rita has extensive patent experience including involvement with over 150 granted U.S. patents, patent opinion work including validity, infringement, and right to practice opinions, and participation in due diligence investigations.
Education: University of Missouri-Columbia (B.S., Biochemistry, 1985); Saint Louis University School of Law (J.D., 1988); Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (M.B.A., 1995).
