Served as an engineer testing steam generators for the Trident Nuclear Submarine power plant.
Clerked for a Federal Judge at the U.S. Court of Claims in Washington, D.C., with a docket of patent infringement cases brought against the Federal Government.
Represented clients in Federal Courts in lawsuits involving utility patents, design patents, trademarks & copyrights, from pre-filing analysis and planning through petition before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Obtained preliminary injunctions on behalf of clients in several Federal Courts and helped resolve disputes involving domain names and other Internet-related issues.
Handled contested administrative proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including dozens of trademark opposition/cancellation cases and several patent interferences.
Rendered opinions about the validity and infringement/non-infringement of patents, prepared patent applications as well as applications to register trademarks and copyrights and guided these applications through the relevant agencies of U.S. and foreign governments.
Negotiated and written agreements licensing patents, trademarks and copyrights, including those that arose from settlement of litigation.
